Peer Recovery Coach
This position is held by an individual who has similar “lived experiences” and has exhibited success in sustaining a crime and drug-free life for two (2) consecutive years or longer. The position provides peer leadership, outreach, advocacy, coaching, and recovery support services to those seeking or sustain recovery within the community.
- Educate and refer clients to community agencies and businesses that appropriately address their need for food, shelter, clothing, employment, transportation, social service benefits, etc.
- Provide services that promote wellness, recovery, and resiliency.
- Assist clients with establishing or re-establishing support systems within their community.
- Act as advocate on behalf of the patient to improve access to needed services, information, or treatment.
- Participate in staffing decisions regarding the patients’ current strengths and resources and their need for additional resources.
- Provide support and supervision to program clients.
- To facilitate involvement in recovery-related activities & assist in planning, organizing & facilitating group recreational & social activities.
- Assist other Live Rite staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of Live Rite.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide one-on-one support for peers and family, running groups that will engage and involve peers both in-person and virtually
Outreach Specialist Team Member
We're looking for an individual in recovery, affected by recovery, or someone with a passion for recovery and/or serious mental illness.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending community outreach events to represent Live Rite (Some evenings and weekends)
- Work with the rest of the outreach team to implement plans and coordinate events
- Develop community connections
- Connect with local businesses to provide information
- Brainstorming ideas to reach more of the community
